It 's one of my buddies ' favorite bars in Madison! Normally I would give this place a 5/5 all night long, but there were just a couple things that occurred during my latest visit that will probably make me think twice before hitting up Argus again. This spot definitely earns its title. My brother and I stopped in for a quick brewski, and I decided to ball out a little and try their signature Friday Fish Fry. I was served by Nico, who usually sports some fresh designer glasses, and his mother. It sounds like this is a family-run establishment, which makes it sting even more having to dig it a couple of stars. on Tuesday we tried argus bar grill for lunch. they have a good outdoor terrace, but we decided to eat inside due to the heat. it is obviously a historical building on the basis of the deck and architecture, but it was updated and was comfortable and relaxing our server was prompt, friendly and checked back several times with us. he was excellent to keep drinks refilled the menu has a decent selection of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads and appetizers. the prices were some of the most expensive I saw in the city. Argus is a tiny bar/restaurant just right off of Capitol Square with a classic bar ambience and dim lighting.
