Tempest Oyster Bar

tempest is one of my favorite restaurants in madison. great atmosphere, great service, great food. it is expensive, but it is worth every penny to get a good deal, try to visit them while happy hour. they have almost a dozen different oysters available to try on the half shell. it is a great opportunity to compare different sorts. I've eaten here tonight for my birthday. great disappointment. while eating decent, the service was incredibly slow! three hours and the room was unodiously hot and skeptical. could not recommend if there are so many more madison restaurants that take care of their guests. oh, not even a good wish from the employees regarding our daily celebration.

Happy hour. My girlfriends and I came in for happy hour on a Monday, it was terrible! The bartender was very unfriendly and had no personality! The happy hour food was very small. We ordered 4 shrimp cocktail thinking we would get 3ish shrimp per order! No it was 1 shrimp per order! We will never visit Tempest for happy hour again!!

rip. another overpriced restaurant in madison. they can't afford to give them a kartoffel or veggie with their steak? c' mon. Spotty service, something pretentious. brandy old in my life. this place can swim again on the sea.

fresh! our oysters and garnel, scallops and fish were very fresh. could not have been more than a day to be caught by. that is really what is as close as you can get to the west or east coast.
