We were excited to try Arigato in Champlin before our late night movie. This building was originally a Wendy's or fast food restaurant and it was neat to see how they transformed it. Faux brick wallpaper and lighted fish decor made the space more contemporary than it was. We overheard a table next to us saying how good their entrees were compared to a neighboring Asian restaurant. We agree! We looked over the menu and decided to try some appetizers and a few sushi rolls. We ordered in stages and ended up taking some leftover noodles home. This place needs an update on their website menu. It tells you all this stuff you will be getting as a meal combo and when you get there it's not accurate. They have cut about half of the items but still charging the same price. The portions are way smaller. Adults meals are the portions for kids 12 and younger. We spent half the time swatting and killing Flys away. And our Meals came out one or two plates at a time with only one server, one cook. A hour and 15 minutes later. No free beans while we set waiting hungry. But the food was good. But all the adults were still hungry afterwards. ? I have to say, the food was excellent! It was a bit pricey when you added extra protein, but definitely worth it. There aren't many restaurants that offer hibachi-style cooking with steak seasoned so perfectly. The rice was fluffy and not greasy at all—truly some of the best hibachi I've had outside of Benihana. The next day, I enjoyed the leftovers for lunch, and they tasted even better than the night before! I'll definitely be returning, especially since I live in Brooklyn Park, just seven minutes away.
Came here for the first time, I remember it when it was a Wendy's, they really went all out with redesigning this place. Looks amazing and the service is great. We got the Arigato roll spicy crab and red dragon roll. All of them were amazing but the arigato roll was the best. Also the ginger was real, had a kick to it not like the other places. Felt like sushi and saw that Arigato was open for sit down dining again. Very glad we went. Excellent food and service. The wife had a Bento Box and I stuck with rolls. All was excellent. I ordered a variety in the hopes that one or two would be my favorites that I couldn't live without. That didn't work so well as they were all exceptional! So, I guess we'll have to go again and try another variety of rolls. If you like sushi, you'll love this place.
I was really impressed with the customer service I received here when I dined here with a friend. The staff was very friendly and attentive to their customers' needs. They packed up my ramen to go in separate containers for the broth and noodles, and it reheated perfectly. The dumpling appetizers we had were so tender and burst with flavor. The food overall was delicious and everything was really well prepared.
