We went here on two occasions; one we ate pizza, the other a cheese fondue. The food was between good and very good. The kitchen opens at 6 pm. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and has an original pizza oven. There were between 4-12 guests, so it was rather empty, but this restaurant appeared to have many more guests than other restaurants in the area (that were mostly vacant). We very much enjoyed the food, and the service and personnel are very kind and attentive. Please note they are closed on Wednesdays. On the second occasion we could only pay by cash.
Been here 4 times now. In an ultra expensive region (even by Swiss standards), this place is a great choice for reasonable value & good quality. Staff are very friendly, polite & attentive & owner lady came out to chat and was very helpful & charming. Special mention for Pizzas (cooked in wood oven open in restaurant) - as good as we've had anywhere (including Italy). Salads are lovely too.
The food, staff and traditional swiss dishes like Tripe (cow brains which are actually awesomely delicious) and fondue make the great big prices worth it. Yes, you will pay a pretty penny to eat here, but it will be a place you will want to come back to again and again. Good tip is to make a reservation.
The Arlas can sometimes be full, because it attracts more than jus tthe guests staying in the hotel, so you might want to book ahead. Pizzas, salads, pizzocheri (local pasta dish) are all made fresh and from local ingredients. I eat there whenever I am in the area. Reserva una mesa ahora
