Friendly service and some good starters but the food we had for the main course was not authentically Lebanese. The chicken shish kebab was small and made from cheap, fatty thigh meat; I’ve always had chicken breast in the past. The flavours and spices used were also more suited to a Sunday roast than Lebanese food. My husband’s chicken shwarma was equally disappointing and not in keeping with the cuisine, we were also surprised to see it served with chips rather than rice. Disappointing for the price we paid but the restaurant does have a lovely setting overlooking the river.
We had a lovely table by the edge of the restaurant with a view of the water. The service was excellent, provided by a friendly and cheerful young staff, including the bartender, known as "the middle G T." The food was outstanding—each dish was simply delicious and beautifully presented. The dessert plate was absolutely to die for! Overall, we enjoyed a wonderful evening in a truly stunning restaurant.
Absolutely amazing! The kitchen at Ashtart reminded me of my travels through the Near East. It features beautiful dishes and a fantastic selection of delicious, authentic foods. The atmosphere by the river is lovely, making for a wonderful experience overall. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for breakfast, which I found just as delightful as the lunch menu.
Large menu options for every taste. Beautiful friendly service with well cooked and presented dishes. The best views of the Pioneer River from any Mackay restaurant. Good seating and not overcrowded. Really enjoyed breakfast with the family and look forward to going back.

The recipe to make your restaurant successful is as follows; 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon sugar 1 tablespoon instant yeast 3 cups all-purpose flour Extra virgin olive oil as needed Make your own bread and you'll have a great venue.
The food was absolutely delicious! We enjoyed a lovely breeze by the riverside, and the service was excellent. We ordered the shared schish platter, wings, cheese and spinach rolls, and the honey pistachio pastry for dessert.
One of the waitresses looked like she was drunk or stoned at the bar as well as seen eating at the bar; she was acting very strange and immature. Our kebabs were cold/undercooked, the food isn't all that authentic.
Great food. Large portion sizes and good value for the price of meals. Ordered dop and bread platter to share between two, a salad and chicken wings. Enjoyed everything.

Good breakfast selection and very friendly staff made it a very nice experience. Would definitely come back to try lunch or dinner.
Beautiful views of the Pioneer River and really good coffee.
