However, my one star is being placed because I've been waiting to hear back from the owner. I placed an order for a cake for my daughter's baptism a day in advance and was given confirmation that a basic carrot cake with flowers as a decoration would be possible, prior to making my payment. To my surprise the cake was not made and I was given the one that was on display the day prior with a carrot as opposed to a flower as decoration. I wanted to share some constructive feedback today. I’m a frequent customer at Astoria Bakery and truly appreciate having it in our neighborhood. However, during my last visit, I noticed that you've reduced the recommended tip percentage on your payment machine to a maximum of 7%, down from 22%, likely due to new credit card fees. I was very disappointed by this change. While I understand the need to manage overhead costs, it doesn’t seem fair for those costs to affect the tips that your dedicated and hardworking staff can receive. I kindly encourage you to consider adjusting prices or your system settings in a more considerate way. Thank you.
I had their bread and a slice of cake. The Opera cake was fine, delicious but not outstanding. However, I recommend their ?croissant and bagel!So what happen to the ??croissant? Call the chef out! It was suuuuperrrrrr delicious! So flaky and crispy outside, while the inner part was so soft, springy, and moist. How come you only open a store in Astoria? The bagel was good too! After heated up, it had soft and chewy texture with a crispy edge.Cinnamon roll was ok, I would not recommend but nothing wrong with it.
Thank goodness for this place! There really aren’t any delis in the area that provide quality service, good food, and decent coffee. Bakers Cafe delivers all that and more! Currently, their lunch special is just $7 for rice, beans, and rotisserie chicken, which is fantastic. They have excellent coffee options, and the owner is extremely friendly.

This is a lovely spot to relax outdoors with a drink and have a chat. The staff at the counter were very friendly and incredibly helpful with my coffee and the WiFi. The food looked delicious, though I didn't try any. There's plenty of outdoor seating, but only a limited number of seats inside.
I give four stars for the delicious carrot cake. It was a hit! Service is nothing spectacular. Normal NYC service. The customer base seems a little entitled and annoying, but what can you do?
Our absolute favorite coffee cafe in astoria!!! Best espresso and cappuccino was well as delicious bites. Staff is the best and always feel like family coming in. Highly highly recommend
Absolutely delicious! The pastry is flaky and light, with just the right amount of sweetness. This is my favorite spot in Astoria! I love the cheesecake and the cheese danish.
