¡Me encanta esta pastelería y siempre aparece cuando estoy en Marrickville! Acabo de comprar algunos pequeños pasteles de muestra hoy para un descanso con un libro en el parque, cada uno fue divino a su manera artística, en serio, tomé pequeños mordeduras para apreciarlos y cada intrincado textura y sabor. Realmente me hizo darme cuenta de la diferencia entre "solo un bocadillo producido en masa" y "arte".
I love this cake shop and always pop in when I'm in Marrickville! Just bought a few little sample pastries today for a rest with a book in the park, each one was divine in its own artful way, seriously, I took small bites to appreciate them and each intricate texture and flavour. Truely made me realise the difference between "just a mass produced snack" and "art".

I love popping into Athena Cakes whenever I am in Marrickville. I love grabbing a freshly made spanakopita (pictured) or baklava or a bougatsa (pictured). It’s pastries I would never make at home and they are always consistently good! #athenascaleshop
I went for the old faithful baklava, galaktoboureko and kataifi. Pretty good but very sweet and syrupy, with not quite enough flavour. I've had better custards in other galaktoboureko. I'll be back to try other cakes though.
Fui por el viejo fiel baklava, galaktoboureko y kataifi. Bastante bien, pero muy dulce y sirtupia, con un sabor no suficiente. He tenido mejores natillas en otros galaktoboureko. Sin embargo, volveré a probar otros pasteles.
