A very popular cafe in a tiny space on the road side of the Gunghalin Marketplace. The coffee is roasted locally by the Two Before Ten group at Aranda, and the baristas and coffee culture is top notch. Food offerings include standard Canberra staples like Egg and bacon rolls which are excellent. A seating area out the front provides space for waiting for takeaways, although you might need to book, wait or hang on the bench and stools near the doorway. Great coffee for Gunghalin!
I was thrilled to discover this cafe! I walked in looking for a good cup of coffee, but was also open to trying hot chocolate as a backup plan. When I inquired about the coffee options, the barista, Josh, recommended a medium/dark blend for milk-based drinks or a fruity single origin for drip coffee. I was impressed by the quality of the Single O coffee, and Josh even offered me a sample of the S.O. Batch Brew, which was also excellent!
My favorite coffee spot in Canberra! The quality is always top-notch - I have never received a burnt coffee from them, even when I ask for it extra hot. I have a sweet tooth and their vanilla latte is delicious! The service is also outstanding; the staff is always friendly, despite the potential wait during busy times, which just reflects how popular they are. I haven't tried their food yet, but it's definitely on my list to do so soon!
After 7 months, Atlas in Canberra is still a top contender for best coffee in the area. They use '2 Before 10' beans and serve excellent espresso at their cozy cafe. Their all day breakfast menu and gourmet toasties are delicious, with standout items like the bacon/egg/avocado roll and Reuben sandwich. Atlas sets the standard for cafes in Gungahlin in 2017. One could argue that this café serves the best brewed coffee in the Gungahlin area. If you order a batch brew, you'll understand what I mean. The food is tasty and the service is always friendly. Prices are fair. Give it a shot and taste for yourself.
Reasonably priced with a nice selection of coffee, including options for soy or almond milk. I have not tried any of the food offerings yet.
The vegan bagel was fantastic. They also have a menu that is great for children who are new to vegan cuisine.
