It couple have been a nice experience, because the location of this cafe is great right next to the old square in Sartene. But very poor service. My wife and I arrive about 6 pm, when it was rather quiet between lunch and dinner time, and just wanted a drink. We would like to sit at one of the front tables, but that was only for guests to eat explained the waiter (as far as we understood his french no try to communicate with us in english). We had to choose one of the tables further inside. My Aperol was not more thank okay I had one better and cheaper on a cafe right by the harbour in Port Vecchio. Later we Saw other guests placed by the front tables only for drinks and perhaps icecream act...
We just wanted to have a quick dessert and coffee and came across this place on the square close to the church. We had two huge ice creams, one dame blanche and one Mont Blanc. Tons of ice cream and whipped cream with either chocolate sauce or with kirsch and crime de marrons. Both were equally good. We both had an espresso and life was good. Very good and friendly service. This is one of a number of places where you can go for dessert, but we liked this one because of the location and the good service.
We went there with some friends and the kids who wanted a fruit juice. No price displayed. We ordered 4 fresh juices that we started drinking and the waiter came with the bill. We ended up paying 32 euros!!! The most expensive juice ever. The level of service is just awful, the waiters barely smiling to the customers and changing their face as soon as the turn their back…
