Four of us had gone out in search of a recommended restaurant only to find it was closed. Au Bistrot Victoria happened to be just around the corner and so we opted to go there on spec. We ate from the euros set...menu (there's a slightly more expensive set menu at euros, as well as a la carte). The food was generally good, particularly the starters(terrine to share, sardines rillettes and smoked duck salad and desserts. Main courses were slightly more mixed. The pork lumo and tagliatelle with mushroom, bacon Parmesan were good. But the steak was a little on the chewy side and the cuttlefish was somewhat tasteless. Two bottles of good house red (Faugeres) brought the bill for to just over eur...
a very rainy Wednesday there were not many places open in the city. we were attracted by the plate du jour on the iris, so we went and were very satisfied. the food was super, service friendly and prompt and the price was very...low a very good dinner.
the entrecote my friend ordered “medium” was very well done. the salatsoße was out of the load, not very good and too little. an salate was obviously not washed enough. the wee was too warm to deal with.
