we tied up on the city dock and immediately reservations that on a Friday night was a good thing that did as the place filled fast. after only the cocktails and appetizers it was easy to see why this place is a... more effective sound. I had the smoked salmon salad and for the main course I had the bark bourguignon. both were excellent. the wine list is mainly local weeping and why not, they were all great and david paired them perfectly for our meal. highly recommended.
I happened to arrive, no booking. the greeting was pleasant and professional. When I was sitting on the table, I was asked if I would like an aperitif, I chose a kir that brought the menu and I could choose in my free time. I ordered the 3...course menu at 16,90€ plus 1/4 carafe by bourgogne aligoté. everything was well presented. my wee came into an ice cup and madame asked if she would like to serve the wee. there is no fault to find, and I hope to return sometime.
we have dinner in au restaurant de la riviere (thanks to the full at night we visited; the online booking used). menus in French and coworkers do not speak English so they probably need some google translation or basic French to come by. the sentence...Menus are very good E20.90 for 3 curs or -E23.90 when they add the cheese course. choice of 3 for starter, head and dessert. eating was solid but not brilliant; how was the service. but we had a decent dinner outside.
This is a genuine and solid performing restaurant. The theme is local produce and that is done very well. It is a bit more of a town restaurant and not so much a gourmet restaurant ut the food is plesant, fresh, with a good selection...of French favourites. The owners are friendly and the pricing great. We had a lovely dinner here! The choices were excellent and we each had the entree and the plat. We had such good meals that we could not even eat desert! But they looked very good. 16.90€ for the entree and the plat. Good French...country cooking. We can recommend this restaurant, a short walk from the boat dock.
We moored at Gurgy and decided to have lunch at this restaurant, we would highly recommend it for the quality of food and very friendly, efficient service. Small menu but that means it’s home cooked and good quality. We would definitely return again. Maybe tomorrow!!!
occupied and visited restaurant. although a limited menu, there was a good choice of food for adults and children with a large service. an extensive list of drinks. the whole party loved their selection with excellent quality of food and would definitely recommend.
It was a delight to find such a good restaurant in the village of Gurgy. The food is not fancy, but it is well cooked, regional fare. The service is friendly and the atmosphere good. I would happily eat here again and can recommend it. Reserva una mesa ahora
This is a nice place in a sweet location but the food was extremely mediocre and expensive for the standard. Catering for tourists who probably won't return so perhaps a captive audience from the river traffic.
