La Terrasse Gourmande

We noticed this restaurant from the river and moored for the night so that we could go there for dinner. By this time we had been in France for a week and had eaten in some very good restaurants,sometimes twice a day, so simply chose...this one for its location and because we could see they had a terrace with river views. Next time we'll choose it for the food! Dinner was excellent in every way and one of the best meals we had on the trip. We could find no fault with the setting, the service or the food. A modern restaurant with terrace which overlooks the Yonne, though you don't get much of a a river view unless you are on the terrace, which is not opened in poor weather. The feeling is of two people who are making an immense effort to...create a top class relaxed kind of restaurant and they succeed. The menu comes on a blackboard but the wine list is delivered in a more conventional manner. Really interesting combinations of dishes decoratively presented. They call it cuisine artisanale but rustic it certainly isn't.

I looked on Trip Advisor for the best rated restaurants in the area of our gite and chose this one. We arrived at and waited for a table for minutes which was no problem. The staff were very pleasant an our table looking...out over the river was soon available. They brought the menu blackboard so if we wanted we could point to our choices. I can honestly say that every course was superb- well-cooked, seasoned and presented and the price was very reasonable. We shall definitely go back the next time we are in the area Reserva una mesa ahora

Driving south we needed to eat. We totally stumble across this place, after taking a random exit from the autobahn and just going for it. Sometimes - these things happen. Great little place, nothing extravagant nor over the top. Humble appearance, great service and great food with great value. Mid-range prices but healthy portions. Very french and very tasty. Great hamburger for the kids, great foie-gras and really subtle and tasty fish dish (fish dish of the day). Recommend for near-by people.

Unfortunately my bad experience finisched in the moment that I've entered in the restaurant: I was arrived at and they said that they was closing at I've travelled for reach this place and the closing time wrote on TripAdvisor was You...shouls take care on your customers also on these things...

This little place is a gem. Beautiful food and well priced. We stopped here on our way to Lyon and I'm so glad we did. The service was fantastic even though we can't speak French (but we tried) and the food was delicious. Would love to come again. Reserva una mesa ahora

Probably one of my best food experiences. Lovely location, fantastic food (good quality, abundant and elegantly served) and incredibly reasonable prices. Don't miss it!
