Horrible service. They just served me pork in Arrabiata pasta. The waitress refused to acknowledge the mistake saying this is how we make it here and I am not the cook.They refused to return the money as well. We paid the pasta that had meat which was returned right away.Of course no apologies given . They say it was our mistake to not to ask if there was meat in Arrabiata sauce. So far never heard of meat in arrabiata. Plus if there is any meat , it is mentioned in the menu.The owner was very rude and she told me that I did not know Italian kitchen. I visited this restaurant with my friends for dinner, and was absolutely disappointed as it looks lovely from the outside but once you get in, the whole perception changes! we were first left to wait for more than 15 min. to be seated as no...one seemed to care, although it was not busy! Then we were more shocked when an old waiter came to take our order (not sure if he's the owner) and he refused to serve us a simple jug of tap water, while we would get it even in a 5 star hotel. we were asked to pay for a bottle of water which was ridiculous in my opinion! On a very recent visit to Neuchatel, I discovered that this restaurant had been destroyed by a fire in early June. I understand that the proprietor a warm and genial man is planning to re open at a new location. When I am next...back in Neuchatel, I certainly intend on visiting the new restaurant where ever it may be. The food served was wonderful, and authentic Italian cuisine. The service was excellent and the ambience superb. Some upscale restaurants seem stuffy and overly formal. This was not the case with Au Feu de Bois which had a friendly atmosphere while still feeling a very fancy restaurant. Not a fancy place with very tiny dishes, but it is a place with delicious, honest food. Make sure to ask the waiter to recommend whatever the special is that day. I had the mushroom pasta and it's some of the best pasta I've ever...had the pleasure of tasting.
La meilleure pizzeria de Neuchâtel. 20 ans que j'y vais fréquemment. J'adore Bon accueil, bonnes pizzas. Rien à dire de plus ! D'ailleurs c'est souvent bien plein !

Pizza bonne mais plutôt petite.La fruit de mer à des vongoles et moules fraîches ce qui est plutôt rare. Le service est correct mais très long.
