Au Lavoir - Reservar una mesa

We were forced to have dinner here since there were no other restaurants open in the area. Overall, the restaurant tries to be very upmarket but there were some areas in which they were lacking or in which they fell short. Service the front of house lady was nice and smiley but we were waited on my a very unattentive and dismissive man. Service didn’t match the price in our opinion. Food small portions but good ingredients. The beef rossini was very well cooked but again, fancy but not WOW. Atmosphere eh, very bland and wannabe pretentious. In complete contrast to the tablecloths for example, which were very frayed and had holes in them...

Le Lavoir c'est comme la pub d'antan du Canada dry! ça à la couleur d'un resto gastro, ça ressemble à un resto gastro mais ça n'est pas un resto gastro! (à par le prix). Le cadre est joli, les assiettes bien présentées mais les mets ne sont pas sublimés et tout cela manque de saveur. Qui plus est, le service est limite courtois. Quand on paie plus de 50 euros par personne, on est en droit d'attendre autre chose.

endroit très joli et personnel accueillant et compétent. Un regret.....la quantité dans l'assiette!!!!! bien pour un soir mais pas un midi. le 1/2 pigeonneau n'est pas adapté à un appétit "normal" l'entier aurait été apprécié....d'ailleurs il était servi entier voici quelques mois. Pour le reste un foie gras de grande qualité (et je viens du Périgord). Bref une vue d'ensemble : très bon mais très léger!!!!!!

que dire cadre agréable et cuisine irréprochable !! juste un nouveau serveur qui avait l'air perdu et qui par exemple débarraserra les verres alors que la "poire "n'était pas finie

Always a favorite. Cool location alongside canal. Superb food and excellent service. Locally sourced ingredients and regional wines.
