Au Vieux Safran - Reserva de mesa

we had experienced oysters earlier and had not made a reservation for dinner, but it went well. the two places we had planned were complete, including the hotel where we stayed. We walked a little in the street and found ourselves in the old saffron. No white tablecloths and quiet meals here. but a delicious cuisine, excellent service and a chance to meet several couples sitting nearby. a lot of discussions and laughter. everyone shares stories of travels, pleasure and incredible food! we ordered two different kinds of mussels and some other items as well. Everything was excellent. It was a wonderful dinner.

just the most fabulous place facing the seafront of cancale, you know that it's good because the inhabitants and other French (vacant) come here to eat. Once again, we chose the menu at fixed prices - it includes mussels that melt so much in the mouth you do not realize how fast you eat them, good supply of bread, the wine is fabulous, the service is exceptional, nothing is too much to ask them and typically French just the good time between the dishes. If you visit cancale, visit here, you are not disappointed.

three of us ate here one evening and it was a very pleasant experience. The ladies had some skating sauce with the capers and I was able to offer a Breton sausage - not a big fan of seafood. all dishes were well cooked and presented with a smile. the staff was friendly and attentive without a plan. prices were surprisingly reasonable given the excellent location. excellent value for money.

After walking through the street of the cancale restaurants, we chose the old saffron. really a good casual lunch here by a sunny day from December to cancale. very friendly staff and well prepared dishes. The fish soup was the best I had during the trip. They had to refuse customers because the restaurant was full during most of our stay. Reserva una mesa ahora

We've come in randomly, feeling lucky to have the last table. However, the food was not as good as what I expected for a very busy restaurant. the holy jacques were tiny and slightly too cooked. The portions are small too. the lobsters were too cooked and the taste of purée, which was a waste. But the oysters were great.

I had to have the great seafood tray. huge, generous, tasty and varied composed of shrimps, langoustines, palourdes, mussels, bigorneaux, crab, and more! My wife had delicious mussels. a view of the water - than ask for a bottle of white soap ! Good coffee. The servers didn't speak English but whatever.

We ate here last night, great food and service. boyfriend doesn't eat seafood, which is delicate to cancale, but this restaurant had several other choices. He had a fantastic goat cheese salad, followed by a steak and a burned cream, I had a splendid scallop entrance and a fish mix for the main dish

Today we chose to have dinner at 'au vieux safran' because of the warm interior and the inexpensive and varied menu. We had different delicious seafoods and mussels and ended with a sweet desert. And always serviced with a smile!I would recommend this to everyone Reserva una mesa ahora

beautiful views from the terrace, wonderful oysters, well cooked meals and beautifully presented. cancale in October is often sunny and always beautiful

Very good reception, very hot and flat staff very good quality price to recommend.
