Were holidaying in Biarritz so ate here on a drive up the Pyrenees. We stopped due to the time of day if Biarritz restaurants close for periods of time we assumed it would be the same away from commercialised areas. There were cars outside so we pulled up me, my husband and 13 mth old We went in the lady at the bar (no English us no French mimicked did we want food and beckoned us to the table. No menu for lunch just set €14 pp Soup: this to Irish people is our stew. A huge bowl (think bread mixing bowl , and the ladle. Very tasty homemade! Followed by a jambon not the Irish deli ****... They are only open at lunchtime ,although you can get coffee and pastries from about 7 in the morning . It is a fixed price , fixed 4 courser menu with wine and coffee for €13 and is full of workmen , which is reccommendation enough . Not a place for picky eaters as there is not even a menu de jour written , you just get the dishes of the day
