Great bar / restaurant to get a great " French fix " . Although the menu is limited , it is all freshly prepared and is always tasty . Behind the bar the open kitchen ( which you can loook in to your hearts content ) is a hive of activity with some wonderful " french expressions" coming forth . The whole place evolves throughout the day , from an early morning gathering of locals , especially lively on Saturday market day , enjoying coffee and maybe a little something .... , thru to lunchtime meals, although you can just enjoy a " liquid lunch " if you wish . Very friendly and you can just sit outside and people watch away the afternoons . They are quite happy for you to buy your pastries at...

A bar cum restaurant which is the centre of the town of Sauveterre . Saturday morning marché , the bar is full of locals and stall holders and you know you could not be anywhere but in France ! The coffee is great and they are quite happy for you to bring in your own "breakfast from any of the three boulonneries and sqit outside and " people watch" .The lunchtime set menu is always interesting and reflects local thats available , but with the "patron's" twist !!Very friendly , albeit chaotic , atmosphere and often there is live music at the weekend which adds to the ambience !!!

A small bar cafe on the square just across the mairie. Very kind and welcoming staff and a great chef. The evening dinner menu held a few options for the entree, the main course and many desserts. Yet these are politely supplemented by the suggestions of the waiter. We enjoyed a three very different dishes (tempura fish, a wonderful burger (!) and canettes) each exactly cooked to our taste. I would recommend this venue. but drop by a little before opening so you make a reservation: we saw several guests who had to find an alternative as it was complet. Understandibly!

Imagine a sunny summers day in a small village in the southwest of France and its lunch time.In the main square in Sauveterre de Bearn you will find a brilliant lunch time retreat, where you can eat a hearty lunch, under the plain trees, surrounded by local people.The Plat de Jour is always good and filling at around 13 - 15 euros. Or try the A la Carte menu. They are available for functions in the evenings and will cater for your purse if pre booked.

Saturday morning, bio-market in Sauveterre de Bearn, people meet for a chat and an apperative at the Cafe de la Mairie.A view on the Pyrenees in full sun, snow on top. Michel and Daniel make a warm welcome and fine French 'menu de midi'. Meanwhile...sunshine at the terras and super fast internet giving you all the news you want.This marriage of French tradition and modernity makes a stimulating heart of Sauveterre.

A good place to stop for a coffee sitting outside. Lunch and dinner served inside and out. Weekday lunch menu 13.50e. Home cooked food good quality and variety Staff welcoming and attentive

Great gastropub in downtown WaterlooThey have 150 beers on tap! A lot of specialty brews and European selectionsThe food was good too.

Warm, friendly atmosphere; great cooking, good service. Worth the stop when you are visiting the lovely town of Sauveterre.
