Were holidaying in Biarritz so ate here on a drive up the Pyrenees. We stopped due to the time of day - if Biarritz restaurants close for periods of time - we assumed it would be the same away from commercialised areas. There were cars outside so we pulled up -me, my husband and 13 mth oldWe went in - the lady at the bar (no English - us no French) mimicked did we want food and beckoned us to the table. No menu for lunch - just set €14 pp Soup: this to Irish people is our stew. A huge bowl (think bread mixing bowl), and the ladle. Very tasty - homemade! Nous nous sommes arrêtés en semaine, par hasard, et le hasard fait bien les choses. Restaurant rustique, propre, chaleureux, accueil fort agréable, chaleureux, avec en pointe d'humour et service rapide.Maison familiale, en semaine le restaurant ne sert que le menu du jour, garbure maison, hors d'œuvre tête de veau maison très bon, plat du jour bon et dessert maison excellent (tarte normande avec sa boule de glace) menu 14euros avec vin compris. Le dimanche il y a une carte avec 2 menus fort alléchants si ces menus sont aussi bien que le menu du jour cela donne une grande envie d'y revenir et cela va être le cas, nous allons y revenir. Maison familiale recommandée.

quand on arrive cela ne paye pas de mine mais alors quel accueil : familiale, souriant chaleureux , une pointe d'humour bref du pur bonheur. Et je ne vous parle pas de la cuisine copieuse chaleureuse aussi et délicieuse!! Le tout pour un excellent rapport qualité prix les deux fois ou j'y suis allée soit une fois en couple et une fois en groupe : chaque fois le même plaisir!!

They are only open at lunchtime ,although you can get coffee and pastries from about 7 in the morning . It is a fixed price , fixed 4 courser menu with wine and coffee for €13 and is full of workmen , which is reccommendation enough . Not a place for picky eaters as there is not even a menu de jour written , you just get the dishes of the day

Cadre horrible trop de passage routier La cuisine est tres grasse ne pas y aller jamais ouvert la piece est horrible le personnel desagreable . Il travail surement juste pour arrondir les fin de mois !!!

Lovely food, great service, exceptional value, cant fault this place. Great for everyone, children, vegetarians, fish is lovely trout and merlu. Long leisurely Sunday lunch

Very nice atmosphere, but the food (evening card) was no good. Frittes oily and the beef tartar was mixed with betterave? Not allowed to sit/eat outside at

Très bon accueil repas d'ouvriers copieus très bon de la soupe au fromage pour un prix bien il travaille en famille
