my friend, I stopped here for lunch on a motorcycle tour through the auvergne with seat in salers. we had seen in a few larger cities, but almost abandoned to find every decent lunch. I am vegetarian so that the usual plate de...jours don't work for me. we passed to pass this place and indicated a quick look at the cold outside, I could get something to eat. we were not disappointed. we had a great lunch, I had sweet soup, which was really nice and my cucumber once again wanted that he had only a light lunch one of the specialties that was made pork with cabbage leaves at the place of pasta. this was served with sweet and domestic chips. he eats it! the deserts were just as good, we chose bo...

we ate twice in the auberge de la providence during our last stay in Saint-Donat. the three-course dinner was very cheap, like the a la carte article. eating is fresh and tasty, and even the house wine is excellent. our hostess were happy. Saint-Donat is a bit off the beaten track, but is a good choice if they stay close. the restaurant also offers lunches, including picnic lunches, along with snacks and a full bar.

We stayed here for my wife's birthday and it was indeed a treat. The Dutch hosts, Erik and Caroline, are charming, helpful and informative. The meals are very good and well worth the money paid. The bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped. The area is...outstanding and for access to Super Besse and the surrounding mountain ranges cannot be beaten. Well worth a visit.

we have decided to have dinner here, one can highly recommend, others do the same. eat outdoors a beautiful evening with what we believe is the best of france! bouef, quiche, desserts and of course good red wine. that was from the quiet feeling. in the village of St-Donat, birds sing and sunset. they can highly recommend to visit eric and his wife.

we had a very pleasant and relaxing weekend away from the hectic in this beautiful village auberge in the heart of the magnificent mountain. would recommend everyone to relax in nature.
