Auberge de la Providence

We ate dinner twice at Auberge de la Providence during our recent stay in Saint-Donat. The three-course dinner was very reasonably priced as were the a la carte items. The food is fresh and tasty, and even the house wine is excellent. Our hosts were eager to please. Saint-Donat is a bit off the beaten track, but is a good choice if staying nearby. The restaurant also offers lunch including picnic lunches to go, along with snacks and a full bar.

We stayed here for my wife's birthday and it was indeed a treat. The Dutch hosts, Erik and Caroline, are charming, helpful and informative. The meals are very good and well worth the money paid. The bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped. The area is...outstanding and for access to Super Besse and the surrounding mountain ranges cannot be beaten. Well worth a visit.

we had a very pleasant and relaxing weekend away from the hectic in this beautiful village auberge in the heart of the magnificent mountain. would recommend everyone to relax in nature.
