How unusual to find a great restaurant open on Mondays.Since taking over the restaurant Frederic and Christine have put their stamp on the quality of the service and the food in this immaculate little Auberge. Fresh, local seasonal products are worked with care, attention and great skills. Using modern approach Frederic and his assistant are serving some of the best food around. The location is really pretty , the service provided by Christine is friendly and informative without being over the top and the wine list showcase the best Languedoc vineyards around. The restaurant has nice surroundings, and outside on the terrace under the climbing kiwi plant this is nice to sit and relax. But the chairs are far from being comfortable, and when you spend almost 3 hours for your lunch you become more than anxious to leave, walk and breathe elsewhere. The menus are very tempting and cheap, the quality of the various dishes is very good. Some caveats: The service is formal and not very friendly, and overall you wait all the time in front of your empty plates, which is quite annoying.So a really underwhelming review, and as far as I am concern, I would prefer another place rather than to spend all this time waiting for my dishes.
This restaurant is in villemagne where we have a house so we always go to this restaurant for special occasions. The food is wonderful, service impeccable and last weekend we sat on the terrace opposite beautiful hills and vineyards. It's not cheap, but well worth the 29 euros each for a delicious meal. The village is well worth a visit too . It's very pretty with winding old streets to the river and hotel de monnaie, a mint for silver coins from 11th century.My only gripe is the terrible music, james brown is not very conducive to a relaxing meal. I asked for it to be turned down, but I would have liked it off and something more appropriate if we must have music.
We drove out to this tiny dead town just to eat at this restaurant. arrived at 7:15 to a TOTALLY empty restaurant with some 25 tables- and were told that since we didn't have a reservation they wouldn't seat us. I think it was because we had a 2 month old baby with us, which is ridiculous because she's never cried at a restaurant during a meal. Needless to say we found it impossible to believe that they were full and couldn't accommodate us and it was the most uncomfortable experience ever. What a total waste of a drive out there- and even had the food been good it was not fancy inside which we were hoping for given the prices.

Not that far from Herepian and worth the short drive to enjoy beautifully cooked and presented food in a lovely setting. We enjoyed a beautiful starter, squid and monkfish, beautifully cooked duck and a delicious dessert with an enjoyable, reasonably priced (for a restaurant) wine. The fall in the €/£ exchange rate doesn't make it a cheap meal but well worth the money for special occasions.
Very good amuse bouche with several aspects. The entry level menu is limited to two or three choices per course, so a good idea to check online before booking to see if there are options which appeal to you. We enjoyed our pork starter and Guinea fowl main, desserts were good too. Wine a little dear, service good enough. Well worth a visit.
We had a lovely meal ... 4 stunning courses with excellent service. Fish course was sublime! Definitely recommend. Due to bad weather earlier in the day, we sat inside ... lovely decor (loved the ceiling and wall lights)!.
Well known locally, this super restaurant is a real treat. The view from the dining room, and in good weather the terrace, is a delight, and the food is delicious and beautifully presented. Really super and very stylish.

We ate there on a Mon evening. Excellent food, good wines and pleasant and helpful service. There were diners at six or so of the other tables so there was a good atmosphere in the Auberge.
