We decided to come along and join in on the Auberge's first attempt at doing a British fish and chips menu. It is to be honest not something that we would normally do but went along with our friends, as we had heard from another friend that the chef had being working hard to perfect his batter! So, result was a delicious piece of beer battered cod, served with a generous helping of thick cut chips, and peas or salad. Followed by cheddar cheese served with some salad, then apple pie French style. We enjoyed the evening in the warm and welcoming auberge.
We have been here on numerous occasions in last 18 months. We have been for dinners & lunches, as a family & with friends & dined throughout the summer & winter months. The food has always been superb. Sometimes if busy it can be slow, but traditional french dining can be long winded & a time to relax. This place is a little gem. I would recommend it to anyone. The menu changes frequently & if you can't find a child's menu don't be afraid to ask, they always have something on hand for children.
Had heard about the takeaway pizza service and after a busy Friday racing around we decided to drive to Nouic to order ourselves one Cheeky aperitif of a couple of kirs followed, then home to enjoy our pizza with a fresh green salad and a glass of wine. We shared a pizza on this occasion, but why not see for yourselves. On the box is a 'token' to keep as when you have 10, pizza number 11 will be free of charge. Reasonably priced, fresh and perfect light dough base.....enjoy
Four of us dined on Saturday night (9th Jan). Our French guests were horrified there was no fixed rice dinner, but we were all very happy with the quality of the a'la carte offerings. We had a selecxtion of excellent Fois Gras and raw scallops, followed by top quality beef; porc cheek, and lamb main courses, accompanied by some execllent argentenian red. We did not have any space for desert!

Took my family for evening dinner, the chef has changed and so we were really looking forward to the evening and the change in manu. I have to say that we were not disapointed at all, the portions were the right size, and the food and flavours were great. I would recomend this place for lunch or dinner, service was fast and the staff were delightful. Well done equipe de Auberge.
Excellent food, great service, good prices. "What else"?. Oh we didn't try the coffee. Open every day and later than most restaurants in the area. We'll be back !! Tres bien accueillis, une cuisine délicieuse, très bon rapport qualité- prix. Nous reviendrons !!
I love discovering little gems like this. Crispy fresh bread, salty butter, wonderfully flavoured and tasty moussaka and a large slice of apple tarte. All washed down with a fresh cold Rose. Great service, great price. A hidden gem.
Lovely atmosphere and surroundings. Good value food, local produce and all food cooked to order. Friendly staff. Parking in the square in the village - short walk to the restaurant, or limited parking opposite.

Had a wonderful time last night at the Auberge, Limousin beef, cheese and desert, music and 70 people. Wonderful night, great atmosphere amazing beef,could not of had better service or food, thanks to you all.
1st class cuisine. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! Menu du jour for only 13.50 euros. Good wine list and nice staff.
