Tucked away down a side street near the Basilica, this is one of Carcassonne's better restaurants. We booked ahead and a table was waiting. There is a good wine list and we ordered a local wine which was delicious. We then chose from the menu. The starter of seared scallops was wonderful as was the pablova, which was a special dessert, but the restaurant was let down by the main course. We chose the specisl dish of the day which was veal. The accompanying vegetables and sauce were wonderful but the veal, in the form of a chop, was tough and chewy. I'm afraid that I did not enjoy it and left quite a bit. Not a success I should have chosen one of the other standard selections on the menu.

Terrible! Where was the social distancing for Covid? All tables so close near each other. We made a reservation for and got a table situated so badly they couldn't seat us facing each other like a normal situation. We asked for another empty table...but all were reserved When asking for some bread with our food, we had to ask twice after waiting for minutes. We weren't even finished with our drinks and they gave us the bill, without even asking for it yet. No problem bringing us that so quickly, but bread...sad, really sad service. Should have just left at the beginning.

We had a fine lunch here on a blustery December day. I didn’t order a starter, thinking that I would nurse my Blanquette Kir as my husband ate his starter. However a very fine pumpkin velouté was set before me and I enjoyed it immensely....My main was an entrecôte with a slice of potato/lardon terrine and an assortment of roasted vegetables. My husband opted for the vegetarian “menu”; a taboulé starter followed by a mushroom risotto. Our deserts were an apple tart and a pear tart. We shared a bottle of local Minervois. The food was fabulous as was the service.

Had a truly memorable meal here last night. Chose the Auberge set menu, gravadlax which was melt in the mouth, the quail which was perfectly cooked and served with a rich gravy and mushroom risotto....truly mouthwatering and then the chocolate mousse. The husband went with...the chef’s recommendations of the day which were also a delight. The drinks were reasonably priced, the service attentive but not intrusive and the atmosphere lively. Will definitely dine here when we next pass through and recommend to friends. A gem. Reserva una mesa ahora

Everything tasted awesome, the menu was complete and very tasty. The place looked too polite though, lacking the charm of other places in the Cité, but again the food was excellent. Wine (a Minervois) was on the mid-high range but was really good, tbh not...much expensive to be French. Kids menu with an entrecôte for was more than ok. Cassoulet was simply awesome, we could not have dinner that day, lol...

I had the euro dinner which included a salmon appetizer, quail entree and mousse dessert. All very delicious! Busy restaurant so be sure to get a reservation!
