I went to L’Auberge d’Hermance with my girlfriend on a lovely sunny day. The restaurant is located in a charming auberge inside the small medieval town of Hermance, next to Lake Geneva. This place mostly does traditional cuisine alongside more modern creations made by the...chef. After our first visit a few months back we weren 't disappointed with this, our second visit.The food was top notch, the service warm and friendly. We had the seasonal vegetarian menu at 69 francs which consisted of 6 courses, each having its own special flavours...and textures. We kicked off with the slightly 'tarty ' flavour of an endive tatin offset by the 'sweetish ' braised onions. This was leek served as roulade, crisps and mousse with pomegranate ginger emulsion. The 3rd course was gnocchi of Jerusalem artichoke in lemon tarragon sauce. The next course was of homemade curry noodles in Dashi and miso broth with Pak Choi cabbage. I leave my dining experience a disappointed man. This restaurant believes it's one of the best in Switzerland. However, it's service badly let it down this evening. My wife's starter was completely forgotten (despite my having been served two courses of the special menu before we realised no, they had totally missed it). The knock on impact of this is that when they brought it out it clearly messed up the timing of our main course (duck) which was served tepid. A better restaurant wouldn't have even sent this out. I give it 3 stars as the restaurant itself has a lovely ambiance & there were hints of decent food there. However, sadly it was let down by basic execution mistakes. Reserva una mesa ahora

The place is very pretty but unpretentious. Yet the service is excellent and the food is superb. Starting my review from the desert, I must say that the tarte tatin is the best I had in’ my life! The dough is thin and delicate and...the apples are not too sweet. For main we had their famous chicken. The best I had in Switzerland. The appetizer was a cream of asparagus which was very good! Not the best I had in my life but still, very very good. Even the bread they serve is superb! Home made and served warm. In short, an outstanding place which I will certainly return. Price was commensurate with the quality. But hey! Life is short!

Par beau temps la terrasse est un magnifique endroit pour déjeuner à l'ombre. Nous avons pris le menu "unique" et un convive étant végétarien a pris une tartine aux truffes d'été suivi de pâtes aux légumes. Le menu "unique" nous a un peu déçu non pas par la présentation qui était fort agréable à la vue mais par ce qu'il y avait en fin de compte dans l'assiette. Serveur avenant et sympathique. Prix élevé pour la nourriture et les boissons (11 CHF pour 75 cl d'eau par ex.) et peut mieux faire par rapport a ce qu'on peut trouver tout près de là.

It wasn’t the first time I go to Auberge d’Hermance but was probably the last one. To start with the positives lovely ambience and good food. However, except for for the menu I don’t think the food is good value. The biggest disappointment came...from the service forgetting orders, taking too long to serve and last but not least waiting c30min to get the bill.

Cher mais ça en vaut la peine. Les produits sont excellents (notamment les filets de perche, le poulet et le loup au gros sel), le service est impeccable et le cadre de la petite terrasse fleurie (l'été bien entendu) est des plus charmants. Amazing food, charming location, very efficient and friendly service. Can only recommend. If you get the chance, try the Celerisotto Egg parfait Espuma with porcini mushrooms Autumn truffles Macadamia nuts in their delicious fall menu. It is to die for, though the...whole menu is also really really tasty.

Fantastic place... !!! Superb ambiance and hospitality. The food was excellent ... a little Pricey but worth the price. Many thanks for a wonderful time!
