This restaurant is located in a stunning setting by the river, with a beautiful terrace. The food is delicious, well-presented, and offers interesting flavor combinations like melon anise sorbet. The head chef personally delivered the amuse bouche and took the time to discuss the produce with us, which was a nice touch. The only downside is that the toilets are located upstairs, making it less accessible. However, the staff were kind enough to drive a golf buggy to the front entrance, where the toilets are located on the same level as the restaurant. An outstanding restaurant in terms of food, setting, and service. The set menus are inexpensive for this standard but you can spend a lot on drinks. On this occasion we had the three course set lunch at £29.50 each with a Prosecco at £11.50, non alcohol drink at £8.50 , then coffee and tip the bill came out at £96. I have eaten at quite a few Michelin stars restaurants over the years and Auberge du Lac is in that league. Presentation, flavour, and texture as you would expect.

The meal at this restaurant was fantastic! The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The service was outstanding, with efficient and friendly staff who were also very helpful.

at the end of the meal the waiting staff disappeared and we had to go and find them to pay the bill. I don't expect this at this level of restaurant. Food was excellent
