Auberge Du Pont Canal

Dejà you arrive and fall on a prison door, barely hello, we wonder if she wants to have customers. After having asked twice to eat on the terrace for which we had come, installed in a crowded room at 25 degrees we reiterated our request: no, because of storm. We looked at the weather, no storm planned (it is 14h and the sky is still blue) After the third refusal we decided not to stay. Sorry, but the welcome is lamentable And we crossed out another couple who had just fought with the boss

We arrived by boat on a wet October Sunday and were delighted by this simple restaurant. The menus were interesting and the meals delicious. I particularly enjoyed the snail fricassee starter. Just two staff were serving quite a full restaurant and whilst they were helpful and charming, inevitably service was slow at times particularly when one was serving a table of nine from the excellent cheese trolley. Thoroughly enjoyable meal and such a shame I’m unlikely to pass by again.

From our barge we walked to the Auberge. This is the only building around so although it looked attractive we didn’t have great expectations. This was our best meal as we barged through a very rural part of France. I had the best sweetbreads I can remember. Others had beef, chicken and fish. We all agreed the meal was delicious.

Restaurant on an original site with the canal bridge on the alab. Good value quality of the menu of the day. Original dishes (especially eggs! and copied. Nice welcome and service. A nice stop before Nevers. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Turned up withou booking early Sat eve but seated quickly. Pleasant helpful staff and good choice on menu. Food served quickly and was excellent. Dessert gourmand was amazing see pic.

Bien accueilli et cuisine classique mais goûteuse. Très bons vins avec pas mal de choix.Terrasse très agréable. Petit problème de parking Prix très corrects

in a pleasant atmosphere we have lunch a noon and for a correct price. the menu allowed us to taste a very good foie gras and veal ris. We'll be back.
