After several disappointing essays in the region and not that ... we found following a pretty road a hostel where the prevenance and kindness of the ladies, patron and waitresses, make you forget that Italy (country of heart and gastronomy is so far away. Great discovery! Welcome and very friendly service. Aperitives house served with tapnade and small croûton, very generous Burgundian salad in snails and bacon, back of place in crust of tasty and very well accompanied spices, plate of cheeses and homemade ice. Excellent price. Don’t hesitate to make a gourmet stop! NB : if camping caristes sur aire CCP de Violay, prefer the bike route as the paths recommended by Mappy (or then with good mountain bikes)!!!
After a hike we wanted the menu of the day to 16th No question and above all no way to escape the fries salad followed by a dessert at 24th while the "worker" menu offered buffet of crudities and various entries fish and vegetables, white or dry cheese and dessert for 8th less.We will not go back, if we want to avoid meat, we must go elsewhere. Very good food, very good quality of kitchen, very good service.just a little disappointed: one of us overturned his glass of air without doing it on purpose. We asked that it be replaced, and it was billed to us! A gesture would have been appreciated knowing that we left a note of 150 euros for 4. And we cleaned up! We came on a Saturday of August as a couple, as we like to do regularly in this hostel. The welcome is smiling and friendly. The price ratio of menus is perfect. The cuisine is generous and of French tradition with its classics. Nothing to say for this well-placed and welcoming hostel!
