We decided to stop by for a nice lunch today while visiting to see the icebergs. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but the service was quite slow, taking over an hour for our food to arrive. Most of the meals were enjoyable, but the fish and chips were disappointing. The batter-to-fish ratio was around 70:30, with much more batter than fish. Overall, the service was decent, but it could definitely improve, especially considering this is a tourist area.

Love Auk island, the staff are always so nice and happy, funny, they always check to make sure you got everything you need, not to mention that there fish and chips is the best in twillingate so good crispy golden brown, definitely recommend to all my friends and family delicious Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Staff was friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. Our server was fast, informative, and checked in on us regularly. He made some great food recommendations (the chicken carbonara was great). I tried one of the cocktails and would recommend it!

They offer wines made from a variety of ingredients other than grapes. The food, especially the chowder, is both delicious and reasonably priced. Did I mention how excellent the chowder is?!?
