On our first day back in Santa Cruz at the beginning of December for a short holiday to meet Joe Ks bucket list, we were treated by close friends to a delicious dinner at the Avanti Restaurant. They live in Santa Cruz and know exactly about the most beautiful restaurants in the city. And this is one of those places on his list. It happened during one of these rainy and stormy evenings, but we came to a warm and cozy interior. The menu had a limited but impressive selection of options, making it difficult to make a decision. I finally chose the garden Pasta: Fusilli with fresh vegetables in olive oil along with a dietary coke. Joe ordered the Fogline Fried Chicken with potato bread and grille...

We used to love this place and had many memorable meals over the years but only eating takeout these days. I don't think food should be mediocre just because you're picking it up to eat at home. My meal of pasta with vegetables was below average. The broccoli wasn't very fresh and the whole greasy mess seemed thrown together without much thought. We also ordered the cauliflower and found the flavor profile just kind of weird. What's changed? Way to blow sixty bucks. Won't be back.

Great, clean Italian food. Feel well, attentive service and a cozy feeling. We were not sure where to eat, drove past this place and checked the reviews here on yelp. We're glad we chose it! Excellent lasagna, delicious calender salad and a cool mix of flavors in the brussel sprouts. We'd like to do it back here.

Had a really nice birthday dinner with great service from Christy The appetizers were great, but the Lasagna had soggy, overcooked noodles. Overall, I would return.

Great seating area in the interior. Perfect for a weekly date night with many new court options.
