Last visited a year ago when change of owner. Vast improvement since then. Had a free iced bottle of tap water... Whilst scrutinising the menu. My pizza was so much nicer and lots of tasty topping. Nice thin base. Dessert... . 3 scoops of ice cream. Once again my favourite flavours weren't stocked. But alternative was very nice. Generous portions. Supplied with squirty cream... Waiter should have told us, as my friend had to remove it. Staff were so nice. Welcoming, friendly and attentive. Manager came over to say hello. Looks like interior has had a clean and refurb. New menus. You can still sit outside. But the cornered off area has been removed. A real shame. Don't know why. Recommended.
This used to be a great restaurant but after our recent visit we will not be going back again. Despite having booked a table we were told it was very busy and eventually shown to a table right next to the toilets, next to the stack of high chairs. Not the best start. Another table did become available and we asked to move to that one. The food was mediocre at best, tempura prawns to start with which were barely warm. My pizza was similarly barely warm so I sent it back and it didn't come back any better. I asked the waiter to take it away and that I had no intention of paying for it. A terrible experience that I don't want to repeat.
First time here. Turned up on a Saturday night and managed to get a table for three without a reservation but it was busy and I think we were lucky. Had a very nice meal and my daughter, who has to have a gluten free diet and doesn’t eat meat, said her pasta was one of the nicest she’s ever had, both the texture of the pasta itself and the spicy sauce that it was served in. My wife had chicken and I had a steak and it was all well cooked and flavoursome. The wine we had was good and fairly priced for a Gavi and a Valpolicella. The staff were all very attentive and friendly and we had a lovely evening. I would go back again.
Absolutely brilliant! Have come 3 times throughout my finals year of my degree and has been nothing short of excellent each time. The food, atmosphere and service is to be applauded. Incredible spot in Jesmond as well. Would highly recommend

Here for our son's graduation, third visit actually. Great food, really good vfm, wonderful atmosphere, superb service we just love family run Italian restaurants like this.

Delicious food Good service Easy to book Set menu on Sunday afternoon until 5pm!! We have been twice here and it doesn’t disappoint

Great, traditional family run Italian- perfect place to celebrate graduation. (Garlic bread with cheese was enormous).
I went to this restaurant with my family had a great experience. Lovely staff and good food. Can’t wait to go back.
