During our three-night stay in Newcastle, we decided to explore three different restaurants, one of which was Indian cuisine. Valley Junction came highly recommended, and we were thrilled to take a short, three-stop journey on the Metro, which was easy to navigate. Once we arrived, we were greeted with delicious food and a lovely ambiance. The menu was extensive yet easy to understand. The restaurant is uniquely located in an old signal box and a vintage railway carriage, right next to a former railway line—such a clever concept!
I regularly visit this restaurant to catch up with friends and former colleagues, and I always enjoy the lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly, and the food is fabulous. Unlike some places, there's no rush to get you out, which makes for a relaxed experience. We always make a reservation since it's quite popular, and I truly can't find anything to fault. Lock, the host, always greets us when we arrive and bids us goodnight when we leave.
Nicest Indian restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Service was great, amazing choice of food but overall the quality of food was superb. Full of flavour. Delicious. 10/10 would return no question.
I went for dinner and had a wonderful meal. We were seated in the train section of the restaurant, which provided a much calmer atmosphere. I would highly recommend it and would love to visit again.
