Let me give you the good first. Two of our group ordered steak, and each one was perfectly prepared, with temperatures exactly right this is a steakhouse, after all. The staff was very friendly, as was the host/owner. The problem took the form of the Dover Sole special. I take some of the blame for not ordering steak at a steakhouse, but our waiter made the Dover Sole sound so good that I couldn 't resist. When the food arrived, I was asked if I wanted the fish deboned, to which I said, Of course, expecting it to be deboned tableside. Efficient and expert service! Food very good and accommodating with those that wanted to share a salad. Tasty cocktails. Two large parties made it impossible to hear but they left shortly after we arrived which was good. The ambience has a coldness and I'm not sure why. Closed blinds in all the windows and a lot of blue light all around? Overall a yummy dinner served by friendly people.

The lobster ravioli here is outstanding, and although you only receive 5-6 pieces, it's absolutely worth it. The chicken parmesan is fantastic and comes in generous portions. My partner ordered the lamb chop sticks and thoroughly enjoyed them, along with the meatballs. I had the calamari, and it was also excellent.

The waiters and staff were excellent. Very professional. The food was delicious. We were disappointed that There weren't any holiday decorations, especially Christmas decorations in the restaurant considering we had dinner at Christmas day. They could've been a little more festive ambience.
Hands down THE BEST Steakhouse around! The owner is very welcoming and makes you feel like a special guest. The waitstaff is very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable and the bartender makes delicious drinks, along with an extensive wine menu. I highly recommend Averna. Joanne Moavero
This lively and vibrant restaurant in Rye offers a fantastic dining experience. The food is delicious, and the service is attentive. The average price per person ranges from $30 to $50. I would rate the food a 4, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4 as well.
