I ordered a meal from the drive-through and when I reached the window I was told to park in front and it would be brought to my car. After twenty minutes of waiting I drove through a second time to ask for a refund. The teenage girl wouldn't refund my purchase and handed me my order which had been sitting in front of her. I asked why it wasn't taken to my car and she said there was only her and one other girl working and they were too busy to bring the order to me. The Papa burger I was given looked nothing like the photo on the menu, but was simply two bad-tasting patties in a plain bun. We stopped here on our way back to San Francisco after visiting Yosemite on a bus tour. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, but we ended up waiting over 20 minutes for our order. After mentioning that we needed to be back on the bus soon and questioning the delay—especially since it seemed like the drive-thru customers were being served promptly—the person I believe was in charge quickly grabbed my order receipt and hastily packed our items into a bag. Usually come here for floats after school with the kids. My son doesn’t like root beer and we sub for a Sierra Mist float. Today we were told that the sub can’t be done and I was wrong to ever get one there. I said you can’t just put a different soda in? They said they weren’t allowed to. Seemed strange that before it was possible but not anymore. Also just like others say, you order drive through but have to wait out front to get your food.
It seems like the ice cream machine is always out of order here, which is frustrating when I have a craving for a root beer float and prefer not to travel far. I usually end up heading to Yogurt Mill in Modesto instead. Their ice cream machines are consistently operational, and their root beer float milkshakes make the trip worthwhile.

The past year this location has struggled to find good help. You can't tell who runs the crew behind the counter, just a bunch of kids trying to struggle through. It's called a drive thru, but they always make people park up front to wait for their orders and this still can take upwards of 25 minutes to get your food brought out.
It's not that often that you come across an A&W restaurant anymore, so you could imagine our excitement! But.... A&W is all about the Coney Dog. They were out of the chilli and out of the cheese... They offered me a hot dog instead. The fries were soggy and they forgot my wife's fries. We were very disappointed in this visit.
I ordered $50 worth of food on May 16, 2023, at 12:30 PM, and it was absolutely terrible. The bread was soggy and overly soaked in old sauce, the lettuce was wilted, and the tomatoes were mushy. The fries were lukewarm, and overall, nothing was edible. I ended up throwing it all away. I won't be ordering from here again.
20 minute wait. Ice cream machine was down. Burger was small and looked like someone squeezed it in their hand. Forgot the ranch but was charged extra for it. Fries were decent. Pretty pathetic
