This is my favorite Bondi place in the San Gabriel Valley. I would get this multiple times a week if I was a little closer. It’s cash only but the prices are extremely reasonable, especially in 2024. my go to is the barbecue pork. My wife gets the pork belly and adds barbecue pork. Also, I really like the green pandan bread they sell. There are no seats or anything. It’s just a takeout place but they do a great sandwich. The bread is baked fresh and it’s not stale. The meat is good. The veggies are good. I definitely recommend.
This is my go to for banh mis because I prefer easily chewable baguettes ?. One of my biggest complaints with banh mis is how tired my jaw gets after eating one but I rarely have that problem here.I’ve had most of their menu but I really like the pate, nem nuong, and bbq pork/beef. They also sell other snacks and desserts. They only accept cash. There’s no seating inside. They’re located inside the Alhambra plaza so they share a parking lot with Starbucks and Asia supermarket so parking can be a pain sometimes.
My main issue with this restaurant is that they use the same dirty latex gloves for handling cash, preparing food, and even putting lids on coffee. It's clear that the gloves are filthy and have been used for an entire week. I think they’ve misunderstood the purpose of wearing gloves. Gloves are meant to prevent contamination of food when handling money and other items, not just to keep their hands clean. That's a major red flag for me.
I noticed that I was charged different prices each time I visited this restaurant. I suspect that the woman I believe to be the owner often charges me less than the other staff members. It seems that the other employees might be pocketing extra money. I hope the owner takes my review to heart and addresses this issue. Here’s a tip: avoid purchasing anything that isn’t clearly priced, as they may charge you whatever amount they choose.

This has been our favorite banh mi shop for years. They create the ideal combination of protein, marinated vegetables, and freshly baked baguettes. We also often pick up flan and Vietnamese-style coffee because they are simply delicious. Highly recommended!
The best banh mi I've ever had! Everything is priced under $8, and the sandwiches are packed full. They're quite large and don’t hold back on any of the ingredients. Just a note: they only accept cash.
The sandwiches here are always excellent; you can't go wrong with them. The bread is consistently crispy. I can't say enough good things!
Always good experience for the Viet sandwich bahn mi. Ice coffee is good, too. Can’t go wrong with this place.
