Gus's Bbq South Pasadena

Review based on party of 4 coming in for a 6:30pm dinner on Saturday. The wait was about 15-20 minutes, but we were able to grab a drink and enjoy it outside while waiting. Also had the nicest server who explained everything on the menu and recommended the nachos and chicken+waffles (see pics). Nachos were bomb, and had just the right topping to chip ratio (if you get what I mean). Topped it off with the cobbler, unfortunately ate it too fast before I remembered to snap a pic. GREAT spot.

Our first time at Gus' was a great experience. Great place to cool the roadside to get epic food and drinks. We had the maize bread, the southern fried chicken, the sausage and the pork and a bbq chicken sandwich. Everything was made perfection. Delicious and tasteful with generous portion sizes. We were helped by Jordan, whose charming demeanor and sensitive recommendations made our visit a real treat! Recommended!

This place has delicious grill. The brisket is tasty (only a little dry in my opinion, but my sister loved it, and she is the right diet). Cole Slav is on site. The creamy corn is sweet and tasty. Cornbread is also sweet and they give it generous. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food came surprisingly fast after the order. Super impressed by this restaurant!

My first time here and let me tell you, it's the best BBQ I've ever had! Been to many but the flavor here is outstanding! Pictures don't do it justice! I had the ribs, brisket, and smoked sausage great flavors all around, Mac n cheese is good also. I highly recommend this place for really good BBQ and very good hospitality!!! Thank you guys for a great experience!

This is a business. It is a very popular barbecue. The grill taste of chicken, beef and pork is very tasty. Other diving sauce tastes very strong. It is a good place to eat friends and colleagues. It's great to eat barbecue and drink beer

The famous Gus BBQ definitely worth your visit in Pasadena. No reservations needed, no lines on Saturday afternoon. Waiters are friendly and patient. The portions of the BBQ is just right.
