I used to frequent Gus ' BBQ a lot when I first moved to Pasadena over a decade ago and for some reason after I moved just a little further away, I fell out of the habit. Remembering how much I used to love them, I suggested it as a meeting spot for a Sunday Girl Brunch and WOW! kicking myself for the years/meals lost when I stopped going! The Brunch menu was extensive and everyone loved what they ordered. Our 1st waitperson was lovely and efficient and, when she went off shift the staff didn 't miss a beat refilling our water/coffee/drinks and checking on us to make sure we weren 't in need of anything. Met a friend for lunch and dined curbside. My steak salad was good, although overdressed (asked waiter for dressing on the side but, well, that isn't what happened). Props to the bartender for creating a sparkling wine cocktail (cucumber, celery, something spicy) which was delish. Didn't rush us which was nice since my friend got lost and was a hour late
I love this place! they offer delicious food, their menu is rich, the chef at this place is a profi, I enjoy lots of trying their food. eating is consistently fresh and tasty, the setting to the customers is beautiful. I often eat in this restaurant and I was never unsatisfied. I recommend it without delay.
Jonny and Phill were amazing that they felt welcome and how we know each other forever. The food is to die because I would recommend it every day...

Great location, service, food. Just loud/noisy and the space between tables was a bit tight for walking and Server access
Very tasty BBQ with a varied menu for all tastes. The Onion Strings were particularly good. Service was top notch
