Greeted by a very nice lady, it was enjoyable chatting with the business owner of 16 years.Sitting in the clean, nicely appointed restaurant with daily newspapers provided - it was interesting to learn of the recent closure of a large government building and the flow-on negative influence upon the surrounding small businesses. We visited this restaurant on two occasions recently and can safely say that the food is consistently good. The main courses are very generous, so be careful not to over order on starters. Curries are excellent and the coconut rice is the best I have tasted (and I have lived in Asia most of my life). The benchmark Pad Thai with prawns will not disappoint and is packed with prawns, not the normal two or three you'd get elsewhere.The boneless roast duck (must) is amazing and grilled fish was cooked to perfection. On a wet night this was a lovely place to eat dinner. I ordered the BBQ chicken which turned out to be the most tender BBQ chicken that I have had. It took a little while to cook, worth the wait and the owner pointed out a bottle hop 100m down the road. The restaurant itself is not the most classy, but there was a steady stream of locals, some known to the owners, so obviously regulars. The service was great, the food tasty so I will be back if I am in town.
We were recommended to Baan by our Hotel. It's not the best Thai food we've ever had but it was cheap and nice. I think we are spoilt with our local Sala Thai but this was still a nice place to eat with friendly staff and well priced food.Maybe better as a lunch venue than dinner.

Ordered a lovely Thai takeaway through the menu log app. Hot chicken red curry, crispy duck and vegetarian fried rice. All were excellent although be warned the portion sizes were generous. Price was very reasonable.
I dropped in by chance as attending a course nearby. The food tasted freshly made and was very good. The service very friendly without been over the top which I can find annoying. Will go back for sure.
Not sure what to expect from a general take away but boy were we surprised. Service great food excellent. Wish i lived closer to the city so I could go more often.
good flavours..we had chilli prawns with garlic..nice sauce. good service. we were not too hungry so shared this meal between us.

Great food at a fraction of price you would expect to pay. Decor is very basic, but the staff offered very service.
Excelllent Thai at Spring Hill. Good value as well. Easy walking distance from our hotel on Leichhardt street.
