Back 40 Junction

Dined at the Back 40 on Sat evening 9. June 2018 and had an excellent meal. We ate too much. My son owes it to the friendly Carver Lady, did you try that? How about that? , but I know it was our own fault. The name of our server was Ashley, she did a great job. Friendly attention, but not constantly floating over us. Thank you, Ashley. I just would have my fullness with just the salad bar and soup table, so many great choices on everyone! I highly recommend the Back 40 's Signature Celery Seed Sweet 'n Sour Dressing They 've this for many a year and you will not find a better salad dressing anywhere on earth! I wish there were red eggs available and miss the cherry pepper and the large boiler of garlic toast at the end of the salad bar (real simple recipe garlic toast (white bread baked with garlic butter in the oven...so easy but SO GOOD with salad! Also miss the Swedish meatballs the back 40 famous cinnamon bread on the soup table. (Back 40 probably hears this all the time as these 2 things were great favorites! The cinnamon rolls offered were very good, but not so good. Main course I didn't try too much because I wanted to have room for the things I really wanted from there, Prime Rib Shrimp. Both were excellent... the main rib was Rare/Med Rare=Perfect for me! Also mashed potatoes that smeared homemade with the brown severity. Yum! My son skipped the salad bar/soup tables completely and had only three (yes! 3!! :o plates from the main course. He loved the Brisket, the best rib, the Bratbeef, the mashed gravy, the pig pulled... plus whatever he had. LOL Dessert. Son skipped Dessert and I would also have, but I can never ever leave the back 40 without pots (or 2 of it's infamous peppermint ice cream. I know they had the Nafziger 's brand of ice from Archbold, Ohio 40 years ago and I believe in the taste that's what it is. You find RARELY Nafziger 's... have a taste of pleasure while you can! I recommend the back 40 1000% percent if you are starving for a Real Meal! Everything is delicious, the atmosphere is from this world and they rent the largest server staff (super friendly, helpful attentive service! Hungry still? Why not today?!

We discovered the Back 40 a few years ago during the trip to Amish Land.. we moved to the first restaurant and to our surprise got a juicy meal... we then made a point on the way back to eat there... we are from Dayton Oh... so at least 3 or more times a year we make it to your restaurant... we also discovered the crabs legs on Fri... so enjoyed my birthday dinner there last night yum... but I can't! If you have time would be happy to tell you the crabbon dinner near us.... 5 minutes away, but no deal and then we had to pay for parking... we would rather travel 2 hours away... free parking ha the name of the restaurant is Basil not going there

Saturday night 04/14/2018 Loved loved loved it! We have been there several times from Ohio. Our server Allison was wonderful! My grandson and his wife really enjoyed everything. So many choices. We ate and talked and ate some more. Same with dessert. They loved the s’mores ice cream. I love the sugar cream pie and bread pudding. We will definitely be back. Thanks Back 40 Junction !

This is the third time in recent years. Last two times were on Friday for all you can crab legs.... Very satisfied, crab legs, prime rib, chicken, fish and shrimp... exactly what I try and choose more... Sugar cream cake and small bowl of ice... Everything was delicious, waitress was always close and very attentive. I can't wait to try again...

This restaurant is just fabulous. So great place to eat at the buffet. This is the first for us to eat here and it was just an amazing place to relax and eat with the family. Service was excellent! We loved it. They even sell back 40 T-shirts! We will return to this place. Thanks for a fantastic lunch!
