Bären - Reservar una mesa

We stayed at the Hotel Restaurant Bären in mid August 2023. Our hotel room was on the 2nd floor and faced the mountains. The view was absolutely incredible I probably could have sat on the room's balcony and just stared at the mountains all day! ...but there was too much to enjoy in the region, so it was good that it was easy to get out and about from the hotel. It's located a few minutes outside of the center of Wengen, but that's not a detractor! It made for a more serene stay, I think. The hotel is located downhill from the center, so if you have any issues walking uphill, you can opt to take a (very short taxi ride when needed. The room itself was somewhat small, but very clean and sufficiently well appointed, and you could reach it via a lift. It didn't have air conditioning, but opening the balcony door/window in the evening cooled everything down quickly. (We were there on a couple of very warm days. We also had great breakfasts and a very nice dinner at the hotel their food and service is excellent and friendly. I'd definitely stay with the Hotel Restaurant Bären again and hope to make it back to the Wengen/Lauterbrunnen Valley area sooner than later.

Amazing highly recommended. Great location, amazing views from the balcony rooms, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Food is local, fresh and very tasty, some interesting takes on well known favourites. Highly recommended Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet

This is a hotel/restaurant, but all are welcome to eat. They said they could do anything on the menu gluten-free. I had the pumpkin burger with gluten-free bread and French frits. They also had bread available. Very friendly and competent staff. In any case expensive and on the chic end, but worth it.

Food is not too bad but too mediocre for the price, service and nv are terrible.
