came to eat here. the restaurant was beautifully decorated and looks elegant. the staff were friendly and attentive. the services were good. was provided with a free small starter than test that was beautiful. the special of the day ordered: this is the saddle of the brain from the family hunt. the brain was very juicy and well cooked. the beside dishes, which were also healthy and beautiful. would be good if there were more sauces, because it is not enough for me. also the mushroom ravioli (mushroom ravioli) was good. nicely cooked and they can taste the mushroom well. we ordered the passion lemon spray drink that was not bad. for dessert we have tried the caramel cream that was delicious and it is not too sweet as we preferred it. the restaurant emphasizes on healthy ingredients, but with foods of great taste. would recommend this restaurant for people who are health conscious or want to taste healthy fusion food.
we had a nice stay here. we were able to book connection rooms (the brunette rooms) as we were on the move with our children and it worked great. the rooms were not luxurious, but they were very comfortable and had all the space and conveniences we needed. wengen is beautiful and hotel baren was in a great location on the main street, but very close to for easy access. the eating was extraordinary that we made the mistake not to book half board and eat it there twice, because it was the best in the city. we only speak English and communication with the employees was very easy.
this hotel is a jewel! beautiful, modern, balcony room with views of the Swiss alps. including breakfast was spectacular with attentive waiting staff. included dinner was 4 stars and the wine list was excellent. the hotels central location to the wengen center and train station always made fun and easy for day trips. our second visit, but friends with whom we were together have often returned. we will.
The food was very good. My beef escalope was a bit tougher than I expected considering the price but otherwise all meals were enjoyed. We had the beef escalope, pulled beef burger, a salad, and salmon with strawberry risotto (unique and good! . Other than unusually slow dessert delivery for gelato it was an excellent experience. And the homemade ginger liqueur was amazing!
