Baja Mex Grill Grapevine

I recently arranged catering for two events, one for 50 people and another for 100 people. At the 50-person event, they delivered food we hadn’t ordered. We went ahead and ate it, but they charged us extra fees and increased the price from our original order, which had already been paid. Then, just two weeks before the 100-person event, they canceled on us, despite having previously discussed and confirmed our catering order. I am extremely disappointed and will not be doing business with them again. Having lived in Grapevine for 50 years, I am shocked by this level of irresponsibility from a restaurant.

Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by an authentic aroma of food and spices. I ordered a midday quesadilla and was taken aback by its greasiness; it felt overly oily. They do offer salsa and chips as a complimentary starter, but I opted for water instead. I also ordered a michelada, but what I received was a Bloody Mary with a salt rim, which was not what I expected. To top it off, the staff seemed just as inattentive as the quality of the food, resulting in a disappointing experience overall.

The service was good, but the food was disappointing. I ordered fish tacos and a dish called "Mad Mex." The fish tacos were terrible; they were barely warm and had hardly any fish in them. I've always enjoyed dining at this place enough to drive past the NRH location to come here, but I can't say I will continue to do so. They really need to improve the food quality!

I thoroughly enjoyed the surf and turf tacos. The combination of steak and shrimp was delicious, especially with the avocado in the taco. However, the rice and beans that accompanied the dish were not quite as impressive...

Absolutely fantastic! The quality never disappoints, and the prices are reasonable. Ole’! I highly recommend the brisket tacos and brisket quesadillas!
