Such a lovely experience! The restaurant is sleek, modern and beautifully decorated with chandeliers made of wine glasses and countless shelves of wine bottles. The main room is usually used for the degustation seatings but no one was using it so we were able to sit there for drinks. The space is fantastic and there is a huge selection of wines to choose from. Its a nice spot to stop at for drinks, and we went after eating at Sifu.
I visited Balthazar for pre-dinner drinks and absolutely loved the concept. They have an extensive selection of wines available for purchase to take home or to enjoy on-site, making it my new go-to bottle shop and favorite bar all in one. The sommelier, Megan, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Great job, Crowne Plaza - I am a big fan of Balthazar!
My friends and I attended a degustation dinner last weekend. It was truly amazing. The food was wonderful as were the matching wines. Service was fantastic. I loved that the room is private and that the chef plates the dishes in the room. Would definitely recommend and will be going back to try one of the other menus.
Affordable drinks and tapas in a stunning boutique venue. David the sommelier with his expert knowledge of wines is super helpful. This restaurant offers a fantastic concept where guests can sample a wide selection of wines, champagnes, and beers accompanied by delicious snacks. The sommelier, David, is extremely knowledgeable and provides excellent suggestions for pairing drinks with snacks.
Just paid a visit to Balthazar as a retail customer. Excellent choice of fine wines and helpful staff. A little pricey but not unexpected given its locale. Very pleased with purchase and would certainly try the dining experience if I visited again.
Really enjoyed this small but excellently located venue in the crowne hotel. Seats about 24 on a single high table. Excellent service, pick your wine from the cellar wrapped all around you. Great choice of wines. Food was tapas and was ok.
