The prices are high and the food doesn't compare to Nelayan in Hawthorn on Glenferrie Road. They don't serve fresh food and will sell leftovers from the night before. The deep-fried chicken is clearly reheated multiple times, resulting in tough meat. In comparison to KFC and Red Rooster, it falls short.

Our group of 4 had a lovely dinner here. Ordered their Nasi Ayam Rica-rica which was spicy and delicious. Good meal and a great bargain at AUD9.90. Only negative were the place a bit dated and bit rundown. If you are looking for delicious and real spicy food, this is one place for you to try!

Nasi Goreng Ikan Asin was very nice. Staff were very helpful and fast. The place could benefit from cleaning - the mirrors and door glass were dirty which sets an expectation that isn't in keeping with the food. I'd go back as the food was good, and hope to see it cleaner next time.

The food was always good at Bamboe but we went recently for dinner and the quality of the dishes have all of a sudden changed for the worse. My wife could not even finish her meal which she loved to eat at Bamboe due to the change in quality.
