"A lot of very white teeth and man bags. Lots of people with weak bladders as they needed to visit the toilets every 20 mins…food and service good but some loud screaming hen do’s which don’t do much for one’s digestion."

It will be interesting to see how Bambuddha respond if at all. I review extremely rarely, and only ever to draw attention to the very good, or the surprisingly poor. And, of course, Bambuddah qualifies under both headings. This a venue that is probably on many wish lists. There is no point commenting upon or complaining about the expense, as a simple glance at the online menu will warn you that the food and the drink is all (to misuse the old Stella advert reassuringly expensive . The same website claims that this is Ibiza 's 'best fine dining ' and that Bambuddha is the Iconic Restaurant Temple . Part of this is true. Dining here will certainly feel like you have visited a Restaurant Temple that aspires to be iconic. The dining area is vast. The drinking area is huge. The photo opportunities are limitless. The place was full on a wet Tuesday in mid September. The ambience was loud. The (almost preposterous restaurant PR had obviously worked. (Please try to read the Philosophy and Concept entries on the website, and then the full Black Sheep True Bible. But fine dining '? Definitely not. Quite simply, the kitchen can barely cook as well as countless others all over the Island and and not nearly as well as very many that you will probably all have visited before elsewhere. Blaming heavy rain earlier in the day, the restaurant gave us the option of putting our meal back by an hour, or rebooking another day. Changing days was not a possibility for us, so we delayed. I am not sure why the weather can possibly have required this. We sat, and we ordered cocktails, which were fine. At €17 each, they should be. What we hadn 't expected was that our starter would arrive moments after the cocktails. Thank goodness that the management hire good waiters. Ours was charming and barely raised an eyebrow when we asked him to slow down with the service. We had come to Bamdudda to enjoy the experience, not to be rushed. Dim Sum and Shumai from M&S at home and heated in a microwave are actually better than the Bambuddha version. We had (foolishly expected much much more from Ibiza 's 'best fine dining ' venue. It isn 't really the kitchen 's fault. When you look around and see the sheer number of plates that are being produced, it is probably inevitable that the food tastes mass produced because that is what it is. I don 't pretend to remember what wine we had. I 'm sure that it was just as good as the cocktails. My main course was a Thai chicken curry. It was inedible, so I didn 't eat it. We had been allowed the requested 'pause ' between courses, but the chicken tasted as though it must have been cooking on a high heat for all of the extra time. Thank goodness that my wife had chosen the duck with pancakes, which she shared with me. The restaurant was swift to bring more pancakes, and I should not have been surprised to see them added to the bill as an extra, even though the original supply was so meagre. It may well be that if we had been more adventurous with our choices, we would have been less disappointed. I had certainly been looking forward to a menu that offered dishes outside the norm, but this is what we fancied at the time. The waiter enquired how everything had been. I replied that it was probably better not to ask, but he persisted. I explained about the inedible overcooked chicken, but that I did not want to order anything instead. We couldn 't face more disappointment and chose not to have desert. The bill came with the additional charge for the extra pancakes, with an expression of disappointment that we hadn 't enjoyed the meal and with what I though was an invitation to enjoy a drink 'on the house '. A complimentary Hierbas at the end of any meal on Ibiza would be quite normal. Sadly, we were simply being asked if we wanted to move to the drinks area and to buy the 'drinks OF the house '. We left. I cannot imagine that this review will place even the slightest dent in the reputation of Bambuddha as a 'must visit ' venue. Even by 2023 Ibizan standards the prices are high, but that won 't stop the place being full every night. But please go for the experience of being there. Ask the waiters to slow down with the service , rather than to rush you through. And, please, please, don 't go there for the food.

I visited this restaurant with my wife. We like to experience fine dining restaurants. And have eaten at quite a few Michelin stared establishments. And are happy to pay a premium for this Although I feel this restaurant is pricing like a fine dining restaurant. But really it’s just not quite there. . The food was nice. Not outstanding. I’ve had just as good Thai food in a small back street cafe. We paid 130 euro each for 9 course tasting menu. This was not a tasting menu as we know , it was not served in 9 courses. Was more like a set menu where multiple items were brought out at once. We was served 3 crabs legs. Only had 5 prawns in our Thai green curry , 1x small rice portion , there was 2 people but things seem to be served on odd number. For 2 persons. It seemed to me they served this way to speed up things and get your table back. We asked for some more rice and was charged 8 euro for additional Small bowl of jasmine rice we thought this was a bit stingy considering what we paid. And what this would have cost the restaurant , we questioned this and they insisted we would be charged. To be honest this was the final thing that drove me to write my review had they just waived the rice I may have not written this , so lesson learned i would say. The service was good and the restaurant was nice decor and setting. Bill was 345 euro. Like I say the price was not a problem but we would expect a better quality of food for theses prices. Overall it’s was ok , but would not return.

For us, it’s not a trip to Ibiza, unless we’ve visited Bambuddha for dinner. We’ve been coming to Ibiza for 16 years now we always book dinner here. The atmosphere and vibe of the place is on par with the quality of the food, the service and the decor. We have never had a bad experience here! The menu is quite extensive with lots of options and something tasty for everyone. The cocktails are great too, we always make a little time either before or after dinner to have a drink in the bar.

The food was very ordinary almost mediocre. I have ordered sticky ribs( pork ribs) was almost like what i d buy at a supermarket. There was nothing aside the ribs so had to order separately veggies, which were also cooked in a wok, with soya sauce, also ordinary which i d make easily at home. They brought the ribs almost cold, and my friend ordered sushi and they brought sushi after my meal which is not acceptable at a restaurant like that. I d never recommend to anyone this place.
