I travel to Dortmund once or twice each year and always stop for dinner at Bambus Garten Restaurant on Berliner Strasse. The service is always very good, and my favorite item is the "Peking Suppe" which is the European version of hot and sour soup, always bright red translucent, and extraordinarily tasty. Presentation of all dishes is done in an individual and interesting manner. Duck, pork and vegetables are always good. Visited again recently and just as good as always. Eat all you like buffet was priced at approx 12 euros per person for a Friday night. Food was plentiful in choice and quantity. It was out in small amounts but constantly refilled to avoid sitting under lights for long periods. Buffet consisted of starters, mains and dessert choices. Drinks were charged extra but were reasonably priced. Staff courteous and friendly. Hot towels provided at the end of the meal and a complimentary non alcoholic cocktail. Very delicious food! ...and the operation was accommodating, not offensive just very nice!! You could also notice the satisfaction of other guests in the restaurant, good atmosphere!
