We went here after our trip to the top of Teide on a recommendation of a friend. Turns out the restaurant changed hands or chefs (or both) and is now utterly disgusting. We live in Tenerife off and on and have visited many, many restaurants, some good and some not so much, but this was the WORST experience we have EVER had with food in Spain. The food was SO BAD that none of us has finished any of it, and even our two dogs refused to eat it. One of the reasons we wanted to go to this place was their terrace with a view of Teide. There is not a lot of eateries in Teide National Park. Actually 3 I think (that are open in August) and we visited 2 (Parador and Bamby). Neither is worthwhile but they benefit from tourists that stay during the day in the Park. We ordered 2x the house menu: salad, steak, fish, potatoes and dessert. We did not expect a lot for 14 euro each but this was a low-point. Salad: small, brown leaves, tasteless. Fish: tasteless piece of something in onion sauce. Potatoes cold, strange color and no sauces. Steak with fries was at least eatable. Dessert: no idea what that was. So terribly bad that we send it back asking if we can get something different. That was a little pack of vanilla ice cream cove...
Visitado el 22 de diciembre de 2021. No fue una experiencia agradable en absoluto. Nos dejaron esperando sin ningún tipo de reconocimiento. La camarera pasaba de largo constantemente. No habló cuando pedimos la comida y simplemente colocó las botellas en la mesa. Cuando la comida llegó, estaba fría. Cuando le dijimos a la camarera, simplemente la llevó de vuelta sin disculparse. Le dijimos que queríamos la cuenta y nos dejaron esperando. Al final tuvimos que ir al bar para pedir la cuenta. No es un lugar agradable. Buena vista del monte Teide, pero eso es todo.
Stopped off here for a late lunch on the way back down from Teide, Nice and sunny spot being above the clouds ! Sat by the window inside the restaurant and got served very quickly. Enjoyed the meal and drinks. Patio area outside where you could have your meal or drinks. There is a little gift shop area just inside if you like to buy souvenirs.

The atmosphere and decor is a little dated. Felt like we were in a log cabin from the 70 s. The food was ok. The majority of our meals and I believe the goat and rabbit was very good. My fish was very dry unfortunately. Service was ok but lack a little bit of friendliness.
We stopped for coffee on the way to Teide, the view from the terrace was lovely although the derelict swimming pool does spoil it a bit. We waited half an hour for the bill and finally gave up and went to pay at the vat. 7.20 euros for 2 mediocre coffees. Be warned!!
Las vistas son geniales, tal vez puedas parar para un helado o una bebida. No lo recomiendo. La sopa era aguada. El pollo estaba demasiado cocido y el pan parecía de un día o dos antes. Tal vez tuve mala suerte, tal vez alguien tenga mejor gusto que yo. ¿Quién sabe?
Nos encantó la comida de este restaurante. Y la atención de 10. El camarero Hipólito ha recomendado una combinación de comida que ha sido deliciosa. Definitivamente recomendaría este lugar para comer.

We stopped here on our way up to Mt Teide, I was expecting to get ripped off but not at all! Great coffee and donuts and change from five euros!
Hice una parada aquí antes de ir al cráter del volcán aquí en Tenerife. El personal es amable. Las instalaciones están bien.
