I must mention that the chips at this restaurant are delicious and not greasy at all. However, I was disappointed by the small portion sizes. I paid £4.75 for a large portion, which used to be enough for 2 and a half servings, but now it's more like a regular portion. There were barely enough chips for two of us to share. While I understand the impact of the current cost of living crisis, it seems excessive to use it as an excuse to raise prices and make up for losses during the pandemic. I hope the portion sizes improve in the future.
will never go there again terrable dervice went for a 1/4 chicken that did come with chips when i askd why i didnt get any i was told it only ever came with a 1/2 chicken and she had worked there for months i had got 1/4 and chips sevaral tims then anouther staff member sead it had only changed week ago then the chicken was mauled my anouther staff member so the staff lie and mistreat your food i will not be going back
I had a meal with my boyfriend at Bankers on the Sunday 24th July. We ordered cod and chips and mushy peas and pickled onions and the meal was delicious and hot and I think the best meal I have had there. I will definitely go back there again as we had such a nice meal.
Just had large cod, well, the fish was rough in texture and chewy, chips not like they used to be, chicken and mushroom pie was dry and tasteless, will not be buying from this place again £20.80 absolute waste of money

I ordered the sausages in batter for £2.95, expecting a high meat content. Unfortunately, there was very little meat inside. It felt more like flour in batter. This felt like a complete rip-off for the customers.
I purchased fish and chips and sausage and chips from this restaurant. The chips were decent, but the fish was terrible. The batter was dry and chewy. I will not be coming back.
I worked in an award winning chippy way up North.Tonight I had haddock and chips from Bankers.They beat my old chippy hands down both in quality,taste and portions.
Excellent service and a great meal with the food being very fresh and crispy. A member of staff even brought it out to my car.

Chips on one meal tasted stale. Very hit and miss with standard , never the same every time you visit.
