We tried to order light lunch (our French isn't great, but can usually get by) that was shown on the menu board outside the restaurant, but we're only allowed to order from the menu given inside. We asked for a couple of starters, a children's...meal and then a burger and salad. The starters and children's meal came quickly (less than We then waited over for our main course. The waiting staff then ignored us serving other customers, who had ordered and were eating while we were still waiting. The waiter argued with us that we had ordered mains to come after our starters and that it was our fault for not letting them know we were ready for them (not that we could get anyone to stop and help)....
The service their was bad, our waiter left in the middle of our order to say bye to another table and didn't return. When we he returned he said nothing about just leaving. Short meny, but good food. We had to ask times for...the bill only to be told we had to go inside to pay in the bar!
A fantastic spot to have breakfast, morning coffee whilst market-browsing, lunch, drinks...The Fronton is at the heart of the Bidart village life, and it is a wonderful spot to watch passers-by. The friendly staff, the tapas menu, and the hotel above make it a great...venue.
We ended up here on market day evening and they were really well organised squeezing everyone in onto small tables so that we could all be accommodated. Food and service was swift and my homemade burger was superb. Recommended

As it was very well located and offers good quality we actually visited this bar restaurant a number of times and were quite pleased. Good food, good service and a nice place for hanging out. Highly recommended!
Great service, friendly staff, good food, very popular with the locals. Don’t be shy! Let’s the kids run wild around the village square or in the playgrounds next to the church and try not to get too drunk!!
