"During out stay in Tenerife, we had dinner at the Bahia 3 times. The food was really good, just how you expect spanish sea food to taste like. You can choose your fish right out of the display. Service was friendly. We definitely come back."

This place comprises a restaurant an ice-cream parlour. We visited the place numerous times for ice-cream drinks to shelter from the afternoon sun (they have a large shaded area to sit in). The ice-cream parlour is excellent with an extensive list of drinks menu items. The lady operating the parlour is extremely friendly really quick at getting your orders out. We ate in the restaurant side on one occasion I wouldn't recommend it at all. We ordered the scampi which were very greasy tasted like they were cooked in old oil. We ordered a tuna salad which I could have made better myself (it was canned tuna with lettuce tomato with no dressing on it) a side of fries; they harged €3.50 for a little side plate of fries (an outrageous price given the portion size (tiny) given that they were frozen). The waiter was pretty rude sniggered at us when we asked if they had ham croquettes (the tapas menu did not define what the croquettes were), apparently they only sell fish croquettes. I would highly recommend the ice-cream parlour side of the restaurant but would advise you to give the restaurant side a pass (there are plenty of other options for food in the area with a much better quality of service).

We used the outside area firstly for ice cream and Smoothie. Then after a boat trip, decided that as we wanted to be outside and only have a small meal, we again used the side cafe part where ice creams are sold to walking customers. The gentleman was polite, understood our orders first time and even listened to our part spanish, part english ordering system. Orders brought to table and we were very surprised that it was not like back at home, where it is usually cough up your money first then we will bring your food and drinks here they happily trusted customers to pay when finished. Only tip would be, that walking nearby are the usual dodgy salesmen of watches, glasses etc, who at the site of a police bike, soon depart the area so be careful not to engage in conversations with them and keep wallets and bags close to you. Best known as looky looky men.

Something's gone wrong here, definitely taken a turn for the worse. The waiters didn't seem to be coordinated, taking wrong meals to wrong tables. I can put up with that but the owner has got greedy. We ordered two rolls and a portion of chips to share. I'm sure the chips used to be about €2, they're now €3.20, and to make it worse we were charged 50c each for ketchup and mayonnaise, so the chips were €4.20. That is just a rip-off. Sorry Bahia you won't be seeing us for a good while

Food good, service poor. My ham and cheese croissant was served thrown at me more like), 10 minutes before my husbands sardines, them came the canarian potatoes, which were cold. Both waiters couldn’t have cared less, so no tip was left. There are better places to eat in this area, but we chose it because of the locals who were there.
