Bara Sushi + BBQ

On entering Bara I'm hit with a pungent smell of what smells like spoiled meat. Looking up I see water damaged ceilings and a dark interior.I got the lunch box C, which came with beef teriyaki (a 3/10, flavour was only in sauce, tough beef,) Gozya (a 1/10, over crisp, oily taste, mass produced,) Tempura (a 1/10, undercooked with mushy and sagging vegetables) and sashimi (7/10, the only high point, although overall serving size of protein was much less than other area sushi restaurants for the cost).Overall, a poor interior and poor meals mean you should be looking elsewhere for sushi in New Westminster.

Always fantastic service and fresh sushi. The bento boxes are well valued. This place is a hidden gem in New West!
