Barista & Cook - Reserva de mesa

Always lively although big enough to always find a spot, Barista & Cook is popular with Waterloo locals. The staff are generally very friendly (note, generally) whether you're popping in for a coffee to take away or if you're dining in. The coffee is great and the menu is diverse although I think, for what the food is, the prices veer towards the more expensive end of the spectrum.The acai bowl is a favourite of my boyfriend's and I enjoy the avocado on toast which has a couple of quirks to make a standard dish taste different.Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area although not a venue I'd say to travel to.

Requested them to remove the egg yolk from the egg, waitress said we cannot modify the eggs, she went and consulted with the rest of the team came back 5 mins later and explained it's not allowed on the weekend (even though it's not busy)Got the egg on the side we are gonna attempt the modification ourselves Shocking haha wish us luck

I've been here about four times now for breakfast and lunch and it never disappoints. The food is so tasty, fresh and vibrant and the coffee always hits the mark. I love the comfortable benches you could sit there for hours chatting or reading. I'll be coming back it's worth the money.

Came there for breakfast, but went home feeling like I just had a nice satisfying lunch. The staff were super friendly and service was excellent. Their coffee was yummo....I ordered 3 coffees in an hour. Gotta go back there. Reserva una mesa ahora

First time to this place and didn't disappoint at all. Had the brisket with hash and it was just beautiful. Well balanced, fresh and perfect portion. Will be back, that's for sure! Shame you close early (3pm) though.

This place does some amazing burgers. We were feeling a little fragile from the night before and burgers were exactly what was needed. We had chicken and beef burgers, they were really tasty and hit the spot!

Great vegetarian-friendly options, beautifully presented breakfast. Very fresh and clean. Service and staff could be a little better and friendlier, which is such a shame as the food and place is great.

Went to this new establishment with my friends. Bright and spacious. Dog friendly. Had scrambled egg with fermented veggies and English breakfast tea with real tea leaves. Quite OK and pleasant. Reserva una mesa ahora

Absolutely incredible brunch here! Beautiful generous servings! Perfect flavours and attentive staff. Lots to chose from on the menu too.
