DELIGHTED THE CAFE HAS REVERSED ITS DECISION AND IS NOW ACCEPTING CASH AGAIN SO WE ARE NOW ONCE AGAIN ENJOYING THE DELIGHTS OF THE GREAT COFFEE AND WONDERFUL LUNCHES Sadly have to give the Barn Cafe one star for its recent decision to go cashless. Please reconsider. Say that you prefer card by all means but allow cash... lots of people have gone back to using cash to help them budget in these hard times. What about tips for your staff? What will you do when the card payments won't work? Close for the day, or will it suit you to use cash then? Reluctantly will be taking my custom elsewhere

I have been going to this cafe for years and it has always been a treat for me but I have changed my opinion since my last visit. I had a cheese and ham toastie. Usually this is lovely and tasty, thick ham slices and real cheese, not now though. The ham was cheap thin sliced and the cheese was horrible plastic cheese that doesn’t melt and horrible and stretchy. Whether it’s to save money or make even more profit on these already incredibly expensive toasties who knows, I only know I will not be going back for food.

I visited here Friday lunchtime and all the tables were full, the fact that a lot were reserved speaks volumes as to how popular this place is. There isn't a massive choice on the lunch menu but the food is delicious and good value. Good choice of drinks and a few farm shops nearby to look round after means this is the ideal place to grab something to eat and kill a few hours.

Delicious food served quickly in a cosy spot with something for everyone. We enjoyed a puy lentil bowl, avocado toast with Pinney's smoked salmon and a beetroot goat's cheese on Harvey Co sourdough all delicious!

Unfortunately the kitchen was closed early due to staff shortages and the staff weren't that friendly but maybe that's due to the staff shortage. Coffee was good and the sausage roll that was available was tasty.

Friendly service, good food, the lemon bakewell is highly recommended, best hot chocolate in the area and lovely atmosphere! Thank you x

Lovely cheese scone and accommodated some change requests to the published menu which was appreciated. Cosy atmosphere.

Lovely place. Very friendly. Very kind to dogs. Highly recommended especially if you like sourdough.
